The path toward the goal of a world where people treat each other with respect and dignity is through effective education. Many human rights organizations focus on research and advocacy for the victims of abuse. The doctrine of human rights has been highly influential within international law as well as global and regional institutions. Policies of states and activities of non-governmental organizations have become a cornerstone for the promotion of human rights around the world. The recognition of the inherent dignity and of the equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family is the foundation of freedom, justice, and peace in the world.
